Raced here last night hoping to make it before the kitchen closed. When we arrived at 9:55, the owner welcomed us in and served us perfectly cooked ribeye and hearty homemade meatloaf. We went to bed on full stomachs and woke up to a beautiful scene outside the van thanks to a terrific recommendation where to pull off for the night. ‘Til next time Rio Nido Lodge!

This is a hidden gem with a lot of interesting history. We ended up staying here because we were attending an event across the street at the Roadhouse. The rooms were nicely decorated and remodeled recently and the lodge building and bar had a nice lodge vibe. The bartender Patrick was super nice and we had a nice time talking with him over drinks. The lady that was there in the morning was super friendly as well and offered us coffee. We booked our room with Airbnb and it was easy to find and directions were clear. Being the hottest day of the year it was nice they provided a fan in our room too since there is no AC. Conveniently located just off the road and back in the trees it's a nice getaway spot if you need a place to stay.

Free meal in their restaurant, bicycles, private enclosed patio with firepit, hot tub, bbq and couch! The location and amenities are abundant. I can't wait to bring my boards and come out in spring, stay longer.

Cute little rustic hotel with self check in (door code), meal voucher we used at the restaurant was nice, played shuffleboard while we waited, another couple was playing pool. Could have been better with cotton sheets but the curtains blocked out a lot of light and the fireplace and hot tub are probably very nice when it’s cold.

Carley at the Rio Nido Lodge bar is absolutely amazing!!! She was the only one working the bar and food the night we stayed (Wednesday) and she killed it. The food she made was amazing. All the dishes looked perfect. She worked her butt off to serve everyone. She deserves to make $100,000+ a year! The rooms were also nice. The hot tub was perfect. The area was so cool.

This little hidden gem is the new talk of the town!! Nothing but a great experience. I visited this place for the first time ever and was instantly impressed by the cozy feel. The owner is a busy busy women and you can tell she really cares about it. They have the absolute cutest little retail spot. A very stylish clothing rack in the middle of the redwoods!!! I was stoked because I was so hot and I bought the cutest tank top and flip flops for a very reasonable price. The outdoor seating area is very well kept and a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich in the morning. New fave local spot forsure!
